Our restaurant was established in 1988 in downtown Brooklyn, Court street. Since then we have relocated to Bay Ridge 5th Ave. Our family owned business was opened for the purpose of introducing authentic Yemeni cuisine to New York City. At our restaurant we serve our food with authentic Yemeni spices that are imported from back home. We try our best to deliver a taste of Yemen into the city where diversity and uniqueness is appreciated. We hope through our food you get a sense of our cultures hospitality and generosity.

Our favorite recommendation is the Haneeth dish; a slowly roasted lamb infused with our imported spices cooked to perfection. The meat melts right off the bone, no knife needed. With your first taste of this tender lamb, you’ll understand why it’s our favorite and will also become yours.

1.Eggs Scrambled eggs, sunny side up or over easy.
2. SHAKSHOOKAH Eggs sautéed with chopped tomatoes and onions.
3. PHOOL Fava beans pureed and topped with tomatoes, olive oil, and tahini. Add eggs for an additional $2.00.
4. FASOULYA Sauteed white or red kidney beans topped with tomatoes and olive oil. Add eggs for an additional $2.00.
5. FASOULYA NACHAFAH Pan fried white or red beans sauteed with onions and fresh tomato sauce. Add eggs for an additional $2.00.
6. HUMMUS Blended chickpeas with tahini, topped with tomatoes and olive oil.
7. KIBDAH Pan fried lamb liver chopped and sauteed with tomatoes and onions. Spicy on request. Add hummus for an additional $2.00.
8. GELABA LAHM OR CHICKEN Boneless chopped lamb OR chicken sautéed with tomotoes onions and tomato sauce. Add Hummus for an additional $2.00.
9. CHICKEN CURRY Boneless chopped chicken sautéed with tomato, onions, and curry sauce. Add Hummus for an additional $2.00.

KHALTAH A mixture of Madroob Mouweez, and Haresah. We enjoy it with Yemeni tea.

#The bread is gigantic. It's like a pizza without toppings.

Ask for the #hot sauce. They'll give a green salsa type sauce. Makes the Lamb Haneez a lot #better.

By far My favorite Yemeni cuisine. This place has been around since the 80s and recently they just moved to Bay ridge Brooklyn. I don't blame them rent in downtown Brooklyn is ridiculous.
